The Mongol
Empire
The Mongol Empire was the largest land based empire in history. The Mongolian Empire took up most of the territories from Southeast Asia to Eastern Europe. The empire lasted from 1206 to 1368. The Mongol empire was longest lasting contiguous land empire in world history. It existed during both the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. The Mongol people were viewed as barbarians due to their constant pillaging and violent, merderous nature. However, this is the main reason for the empires success.
