Entertainment in the Mongol Empire 

    A lot of their entertainment pertained to theatre the mongols loved theatre.They cherished art they found it very intriguing some of the countries they took over flourished because of art. Puzzles were very popular, they loved them. Games they played included archery, horse racing, wrestling, and guessing games. Kids played many bone games - games they made up using the bones of animals.     The Mongol empire did enjoy their craftsmen and artisians. So much that they had the skilled people from the regions they conquered brought to the Mongol homeland, so that they could be put to work, so the Mongols could benifit from it. 

    During the Yuan Dynasty, when Kublai Khan ruled over China the Mongols ejoyed many different creative outlets. They enjoyed diffferent types of poetry, and several important pieces of literature were written during this time. Shadow puppets were also a well-known past times. They could range from shows by a campefire, too ones with extreme detail, and gifted puppeteers. 

     Opera was also a popular past time. This time period also produced great opera's. Even people that were not of noble birth could enjoy it. Operas were basically plays, and had all the elements of one. 

     Novels were also important during this time. A novel by the name of Water Margin was believed to have been published during this time. Today it would have been relatable to Robin Hood because of similar events. Many popular books from this time were based on historical events that happened before that time. ("The Yuan Dynasty")
